Disclaimer: I used Google Lens to try and find out the name of this bird. But given the angle of the images and their color, Google could be wrong. So, if any of you know if it’s a different bird, please do let me know in the comments.
When I was in college, I had built somewhat of a name from my love for photography. I used to take pictures of people, get paid a little, things like that. Of course, when someone is expecting you to take good pictures, it’s hard to do so. I always preferred being alone, taking pictures of stuff that I found interesting.
But anyways, because of this network, I acquired a chance to go on an all-expenses-paid trip to Goa. Of course, it was not entirely for free. I had work to do. A lot of it. Along with a couple of my friends, I was covering a conference where I had to take lots and lots of pictures every day for six days. It was grueling, but rewarding at the same time.
But whenever I found a little time, I went to the beach with my camera. I did have a zoom lens back then, but this particular afternoon, I was carrying only my 50mm. And when I spotted this little group of birds at the beach, I decided to make do with what best I had.
