There’s something magically amazing about the blazing disc of the sun crossing the horizon. As the blinding white turns into a soothing and gentle orange, red, pink or yellow. Sometimes, when you have the last remnants of light peeking from behind the clouds, it just adds to that magic.
This picture was taken from the rooftop of my rented house that I shared with two of my friends back in college. It was a hot day, but the oncoming evening was getting gently cooler.

I believe that very person who has ever taken an interest into photographing nature has at one point or another, captured the sunset or sunrise. It’s just inevitable. It’s the kind of calm that you just want to feel for as long as possible.
Bhopal is known as the city of lakes for a reason. The upper lake shows some spectacular colors even in winters, just got to be at the right place at the right time.

Sometimes though, taking away adds more than putting more in. And that’s how shadows make light feel more than it is. Such two pictures are the below ones. Also from Bhopal, but at different times of day.

There’s more of such beautiful sunsets I’ve captured over the years, but I want to kind of group them by place taken. I believe memories associated to places you’ve been with the time are stronger than memories associated with just a date. Especially for things that are always going to be there.
Do let me know what you think of the photos in your comment and share with sunset lovers. There’s definitely more to come…
